The Konus Nuclear-QR-2 1x22 is a compact enclosed red dot sight supplied with two mounting options: a high quick-release mount and a low mount. Its 2 MOA red dot, eight brightness settings, 1x magnification, and unlimited eye relief make it suitable for hunting, sport shooting, airsoft, and other compatible platforms.

Aiming Performance

The 1x optical system allows fast aiming with both eyes open, while unlimited eye relief gives the user more freedom in positioning the sight on the rail. This is particularly useful for moving targets and situations where rapid target acquisition matters more than magnification.

The 2 MOA aiming dot covers approximately 5.8 cm at 100 metres, providing a practical balance between speed and precision at short to medium distances. Eight brightness levels allow the dot intensity to be adjusted for bright daylight, overcast weather, woodland, or lower-light conditions.

Dual Mount System

Installation and Zeroing

1. Select the high or low mount according to the platform and preferred sight height.

4. Begin zeroing at a short distance using a stable shooting rest.
5. Fire a controlled group and adjust windage and elevation toward the group’s centre.
6. Confirm the final zero at the intended working distance.
7. Recheck the mount after the first shooting session.

The currently available manufacturer specification does not state the adjustment value per click or the total adjustment range. Follow the markings on the sight and the supplied instruction manual rather than applying values from the older Nuclear-QR version.

Field Use and Care

The enclosed housing helps shield the emitter from dirt and external contact, while the water-resistant and antishock construction is intended for active field use. However, Konus does not publish a specific IP rating or immersion depth, so the sight should not be treated as submersible.

Check the CR2032 battery, dot brightness, mount tension, and zero before hunting or training. Remove loose dust from the lenses with a blower or soft optical brush, then clean fingerprints with a microfiber lens cloth. After exposure to rain, dry the housing and mounts before storage.
