Holosun AEMS-GR — Advanced Enclosed Micro Sight with Green Dot
The Holosun AEMS-GR (Advanced Enclosed Micro Sight) is a compact enclosed reflex sight featuring a green Multi-Reticle System, designed for rifles, carbines, and tactical platforms. Its lens surface area is 2× larger than standard 20 mm micro-style sights, delivering a significantly expanded field of view without increasing overall length.
Housing and Build Quality
The body is machined from 7075-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum with a black anodized finish, providing exceptional resistance to impacts, corrosion, and field wear. The sight is rated IPX8 waterproof (full submersion) and withstands 1000 G of vibration. Included glass flip-down lens covers protect the optics during transport and rapid deployment.
Reticle System
The Multi-Reticle System (MRS) offers three selectable reticle configurations:
- 2 MOA dot — for precise aiming at medium and long range
- 65 MOA circle — for rapid close-quarters target acquisition
- Circle-Dot — combined 2 MOA dot inside a 65 MOA ring for versatile shooting

Power: Solar Failsafe + Supercapacitor
The AEMS-GR runs on a triple power system: CR2032 battery, integrated solar panel, and onboard supercapacitor. In Auto Mode, the solar panel automatically adjusts reticle brightness to ambient lighting — brighter in direct sun, dimmer indoors. If the battery depletes, Solar Failsafe continues powering the optic whenever light is present. The supercapacitor provides approximately 1,200 hours of standalone operation at intensity level 6 with no battery or solar input.
Shake Awake
Shake Awake powers the sight off after 10 minutes of inactivity and instantly reactivates it at the slightest motion. The last set brightness level is stored in memory and restored on wake-up — no manual reset needed.
Mounting, Zeroing, and Maintenance
The included Lower 1/3 Co-Witness Picatinny mount positions the optic at 1.63″ height for compatibility with standard iron sights and magnifiers. The side-loading CR2032 battery tray allows battery replacement without removing the sight from the weapon. Windage and elevation are adjusted via standard turrets at 0.5 MOA per click using the included Torx T10 wrench. Zeroing at 25 or 50 m takes only a few minutes.
Field Applications
Hunting. The green 2 MOA dot maintains clear contrast against green forest backgrounds at dawn and dusk, where red dots lose visibility. Auto brightness eliminates manual adjustments between changing light conditions.
Airsoft & Tactical Sport. The enclosed housing protects the emitter and lens from BBs, dust, and rain. The wide window and unlimited eye relief enable both-eyes-open shooting for maximum situational awareness. The 65 MOA Circle-Dot mode accelerates target acquisition in dynamic drills.
Night Vision. Four NV-compatible brightness levels allow pairing with PVS-14 or equivalent monoculars.
