The Holosun HE508T-RD X2 is a titanium open reflex sight with switchable 2 MOA dot and 32 MOA circle reticlesThe unobstructed optical design eliminates tube limitations, delivering superior situational awareness and target acquisition speed. Built for tactical handguns, carbines, and competition platforms requiring durability and intelligent power management.Technical Specifications Holosun HE508T-RD X2SpecificationDetailsOptic TypeOpen reflex sight (unenclosed design)Reticle System2 MOA dot, 32 MOA circle, or circle-dot combinationLight Source650nm Red Super LEDHousingGrade 5 titanium, anodized finishBatteryCR1632 lithium (50,000 hours at setting 6)PowerDual: Solar panel + battery failsafeBrightness12 levels (10 daylight + 2 night vision compatible)Window0.63 × 0.91 inchesWeight2 ounces (56.69g)Adjustment±50 MOA (1 MOA per click)MountRMR-footprint compatibleEye ReliefUnlimited/parallax-freeSubmersionIP67 (dust and water resistant)Vibration5000G toleranceTemperature-30°C to +60°COpen Reflex AdvantagesThe unenclosed reflex design provides 360-degree peripheral awareness—critical for tactical environments. Operators maintain situational awareness without tunnel-vision limitations of enclosed tubes. Lower bore axis mounting on slide-cut pistols reduces sight height and minimizes point-of-aim shifts between optic and iron sights.2 MOA dot delivers precision at 25+ meter distances without sight picture obstruction. 32 MOA circle (33.06" at 100 yards) enables rapid close-quarters target framing—1.5-3 meter speed advantage over dot-only systems. Circle-dot combination optimizes variable engagement ranges with seamless precision-to-speed transitions.Parallax-free reflex optics project reticles onto angled mirrors, ensuring target acquisition speed exceeds traditional scopes by eliminating precision head positioning requirements.Performance FeaturesSolar Failsafe Technology combines solar panel supplementation with battery power. If CR1632 depletes, solar maintains illumination during daylight—no operational downtime. Shake Awake Motion Detection activates LED only during movement; 10-minute inactivity triggers power-saving mode. Lock Mode secures settings against accidental adjustment during high-intensity use.Installation & MaintenanceInstallation on RMR slide cuts takes 5 minutes with included T10 key. Zero at 25 yards: adjust elevation (counterclockwise raises), windage (clockwise right). Each click = 1 MOA at 100 yards; ±50 MOA envelope accommodates all ammunition variations.Battery replacement requires simple side tray removal—no optic dismounting. CR1632 cells cost under €3 in bulk. Maintenance: wipe lenses with included microfiber cloth and distilled water. Titanium construction resists saltwater corrosion where aluminum fails.Tactical ApplicationsAirsoft competitors leverage open reflex format and switchable reticles for CQB and outdoor event transitions. Unobstructed field of view accelerates target location compared to enclosed designs.Hunters benefit from natural target acquisition, cold-weather reliability (-30°C tested), parallax-free aiming, and red reticle visibility during dawn/dusk without green-dot washout. Peripheral awareness prevents missing secondary threats.Tactical sport shooters (USPSA, 3-gun) rely on 2 MOA precision dot for reduced-light accuracy and 32 MOA circle for rapid stage transitions. Unenclosed design facilitates faster threat assessment.Professional Optics SplitProfessional Optics in Split, Croatia delivers EU-competitive pricing without North American retail markup or customs delays.
