Olight Osight XR red dot with CBRS, 2/6+32 MOA
Olight Osight XR Enclosed Red Dot Sight
The Olight Osight XR is a closed-emitter red dot sight with an RMR footprint, built for fast handling, reliability, and flexibility in real shooting conditions. The model combines an enclosed emitter, a 2/6+32 MOA multi-reticle system, integrated CBRS, and magnetic charging, making it a practical optic for users who want more than a standard compact red dot.
Multi-Reticle 2/6+32 MOA
One of the main highlights of the Osight XR is its multi-reticle system. The user can switch between a 2 MOA dot, a 2 MOA dot with a 32 MOA circle, a 6 MOA dot, a 6 MOA dot with a 32 MOA circle, and a standalone 32 MOA circle. This gives the optic a wide practical range, from precise aiming to fast target acquisition at close range.
CBRS Backup Rear Sight
Another unique feature is the Collapsible Backup Rear Sight, or CBRS. It is a folding rear backup sight integrated into the optic body, which can be deployed with a single press and provides a mechanical aiming solution if the electronics lose power or fail.
This is useful because it does not require tall suppressor-height sights and does not add unnecessary bulk to the setup. When folded away, it stays out of the way; when needed, it immediately restores a usable aiming reference.
Closed Emitter and Housing
The closed construction protects the emitter from dirt, dust, water, and external impact, which is especially important for outdoor and tactical use. The housing is made from 7075-T6 aluminum and carries an IPX7 water-resistance rating, so the Osight XR is designed for demanding use rather than light recreational handling.
The aspherical lens helps maintain a clear image with minimal distortion. Combined with the enclosed emitter, this produces a more stable and predictable sight picture, especially when speed and clarity matter.
Magnetic Charging and Battery Life
The Osight XR uses a patented magnetic charging cover that charges the optic while it is in place and also displays battery status in real time. This makes the optic easier to manage in regular use, because it reduces dependence on frequent battery changes and simplifies power monitoring.
According to Olight, runtime can reach up to 54,000 hours, and up to 324,000 hours with the charging cover in mode 4, 2 MOA only. For the shooter, that means long autonomy and greater confidence during storage or intensive training.
