Holosun SCS-MP2-GR — Solar Charging Green Dot Sight for Smith & Wesson M&P M2.0 OR

The Holosun SCS-MP2-GR (Solar Charging Sight) is an open micro reflex sight built for direct mounting on the Smith & Wesson M&P M2.0 Optics Ready 9mm and .40 S&W — both full-size and compact variants. Like the rest of the SCS family, it operates on a solar-first power model: an internal rechargeable lithium-ion battery is continuously maintained by an integrated solar panel with dual multi-directional light sensors, delivering effectively unlimited operating time under any ambient light and a 20,000+ hour reserve in complete darkness. No user-accessible battery compartment, no battery replacement schedule.

At 38 g (1.35 oz) and a sight line height of 13.7 mm, the SCS-MP2-GR co-witnesses with factory-height M&P iron sights and adds negligible mass to the pistol.

Compatibility note: The SCS-MP2-GR fits only M&P M2.0 OR slides chambered in 9mm or .40 S&W. It does not fit M&P 1.0, M&P Shield, or M&P Shield Plus models.

Housing and Construction

Machined from 7075-T6 aluminum with a hard anodized finish. Weight is 38 g (1.35 oz) with dimensions of 51 × 27 × 24 mm (1.93″ × 1.03″ × 0.91″). Rated IP67 (1 m submersion for 30 minutes) with 5,000 G vibration resistance rated for direct pistol slide mounting impulse. Working temperature range −30°C to +60°C, storage −40°C to +70°C. Aspherical, multi-layer coated lenses, window size 20 × 15 mm (0.77″ × 0.58″), single function button on the left side of the housing.

Optics and MRS Reticle

1× magnification, unlimited eye relief, zero parallax. Multi-Reticle System (MRS):

• 2 MOA dot — precision aiming at medium distances
• 32 MOA Circle — rapid target acquisition; circle diameter matches a BDS falling steel plate at 15 m exactly
• Circle-Dot — 2 MOA dot inside 32 MOA ring

Technical Specifications

Mounting and Zeroing

The SCS-MP2-GR mounts directly to the M&P M2.0 OR slide with two T10 Torx screws — no adapter plate, no height adapter. W&E turrets deliver 1 MOA per click (finer than the 1.5 MOA/click on SCS-320-GR and SCS-Carry-GR) within ±30 MOA travel. T10 key included.

Field Applications

EDC and duty. The solar charging system removes battery management entirely from the carry-gun maintenance routine. The sight is always operational under any lighting condition — no activation required on draw.

IPSC / USPSA / BDS competition. The 32 MOA circle references a BDS steel plate at 15 m exactly. Override Mode provides instant brightness boost between indoor and outdoor stages. The 1 MOA/click adjustment allows fine zero correction at the range.

Indoor training. The dual solar sensors charge from fluorescent and LED range lighting — no battery considerations even with high-frequency training schedules.
