PULSAR Axion XQ19 Compact thermal monocular
Thermal monocular PULSAR Axion XQ19 Compact
The PULSAR Axion XQ19 Compact is a very compact thermal monocular built for fast observation at short and medium distances, both day and night, and in reduced-visibility conditions such as fog, rain, humidity, and smoke.
The device uses an uncooled 384x288 px sensor with 17 µm pixel pitch, an F19/1.0 objective lens, 1.5–6x magnification, and a detection range of up to 750 m. Its wide 19.5 x 12.3° field of view is especially useful for quickly scanning woodland, thick cover, vegetation edges, and closer terrain.

The Axion XQ19 Compact is designed for users who prioritize maximum mobility, fast terrain scanning, and the widest possible thermal view in a very small housing. Thanks to its 19 mm objective lens and 1.5x base magnification, the device feels especially natural at closer distances, where speed of heat source detection matters more than long-range reach.
Its wide field of view makes it easier to monitor an area without constantly shifting the monocular, which is especially useful in woodland, along vegetation edges, in narrow passages, and while moving through uneven terrain. This optical setup is well suited to hunting, land monitoring, search tasks, and general night observation in demanding field conditions.
Its thermal sensitivity, with Sensor NETD below 25 mK and System NETD below 18 mK, helps the device display smaller temperature differences more clearly. In practical use, this means a cleaner thermal image in humid conditions, better visibility of warm targets in weaker contrast, and more confident observation early in the morning, after rain, or in colder air.
The model supports 3 sensitivity gain levels, allowing the image to be adjusted when observation conditions change. Combined with image filtering plus precise brightness and contrast control, this helps the user separate the target from the background more effectively in fog, high humidity, weak thermal contrast, and extended night observation.
One of the key advantages of this model is its selection of 9 color palettes. White Hot, Black Hot, and Red Hot are the most practical for fast heat source detection, Rainbow and Ultramarine help improve contour and detail separation, while Red Monochrome, Sepia, and Violet are more comfortable for longer observation sessions at night.
The Axion XQ19 Compact also includes an additional Green palette, which helps reduce eye fatigue during prolonged use. This is especially useful when monitoring the same sector for a longer period, working from a fixed position, or repeatedly scanning an area throughout the night.
The 1.5–6x magnification range and x4 digital zoom allow the user to move from a very wide scene overview to more detailed observation of a heat source. This setup is especially useful for users who need a lightweight, fast, and intuitive thermal monocular for short and medium distances.
The aluminum alloy housing provides good durability while keeping the overall weight low. With dimensions of 134.5x38x71 mm and a weight of around 250 g without the battery, the unit is easy to carry in a jacket pocket, gear pouch, or chest rig throughout the day.
Its IPX7 waterproof rating supports use in rain and wet environments, while the built-in 64 GB memory is useful for storing photos and video without additional accessories. Wi‑Fi connectivity and Stream Vision 2 support make it easier to connect the device to a smartphone, review recordings, and transfer files.
For longer static observation, the monocular can be mounted on a tripod via the standard 1/4" socket. The APS 3 battery with 3200 mAh capacity provides up to 8 hours of operation, and USB Type-C external power support adds extra flexibility in the field.
