Thermal monocular PULSAR Axion Compact XG35

The PULSAR Axion Compact XG35 is a compact thermal monocular designed for day and night observation and for use in fog, rain, humidity, and other low-visibility conditions. It features an uncooled 640x480 px sensor with 12 µm pixel pitch, an F35/1.0 objective lens, 2.5–20x magnification, and a detection range of up to 1750 meters.

Compared with shorter focal length models, the 35 mm objective provides more working distance and more usable magnification for detailed observation of heat sources. The 12.5 x 7.8° field of view and 50 Hz frame rate support stable target tracking and terrain observation at medium and longer distances.

The Axion Compact XG35 is built for users who want a compact thermal device with more reach and stronger working magnification than entry-level short-range scanning models. Its combination of a 640x480 sensor, F35/1.0 objective lens, and 1750 m detection range makes it well suited for observing open ground, woodland edges, game crossings, and more distant heat sources.

The 2.5x base magnification gives a solid overview of the scene, while the 20x maximum magnification supports more detailed target assessment at longer distances. In practice, this makes the XG35 a better fit for situations where extra reach and more image control matter more than the widest possible field of view.

The model supports 8 color palettes, allowing the image to be adjusted for different terrain conditions and user preferences. White Hot, Black Hot, and Red Hot are useful for fast target detection, Rainbow and Ultramarine help separate contours and scene structure, while Red Monochrome, Sepia, and Violet are better suited to long observation sessions at night.

It also includes 3 sensitivity gain levels, which help adapt the image when weather conditions shift or when thermal contrast becomes weaker. These settings are especially useful in high humidity, after rain, during cold mornings, and in situations where the target needs to be separated more clearly from the background.

The magnesium alloy housing is designed for regular and demanding outdoor use. Even with its stronger optical setup, the unit remains compact at 146x49x71 mm and practical to carry at only 0.3 kg without the battery.

Its IPX7 waterproof rating supports use in wet conditions, while the built-in 64 GB memory allows photo and video storage without external devices. Wi‑Fi connectivity and Stream Vision 2 compatibility make it easier to connect to a smartphone, transfer recordings, and manage core functions.

For steadier viewing at higher magnification, the monocular can be mounted on a tripod using the standard 1/4" socket. Power comes from the APS 3 battery pack with 3200 mAh capacity, offering up to 7 hours of operation, and USB Type-C external power support adds flexibility for longer hunts, surveillance work, and extended night observation.
