Holosun LE117-GR — Single-Beam Green Laser Aiming Device in Grade 5 Titanium
The Holosun LE117-GR is a single-beam 520 nm green aiming laser housed in a precision-machined Grade 5 titanium (Ti-6Al-4V) body. Unlike the multi-function IRIS series, the LE117-GR focuses on one task: a highly visible green laser for rifles, carbines, and PDW platforms — without the IR channel, added complexity, or additional regulatory burden of dual/triple-function devices. The result is a compact, rugged, legally straightforward laser aiming device built for duty, hunting, and tactical sport use.
Housing and Construction
Grade 5 titanium (Ti-6Al-4V) offers a strength-to-weight ratio superior to both aluminum and steel, with outstanding corrosion resistance in salt, moisture, and chemical environments. The LE117-GR weighs 190 g (6.7 oz) with dimensions of 87 × 45 × 34 mm (3.43″ × 1.77″ × 1.34″). Rated IPX8 for full water submersion and validated to 1000 G vibration resistance. Rubber protective caps seal the emitter window and remote switch port against field debris. The front-access battery cap uses a knurled, rubber-retained collar for secure, tool-free battery changes even under recoil.
Laser System
Green Laser (520 nm, Class 3R): two selectable power levels:
- LOW: < 1 mW (Class II) — indoor training, close-range use, reduced bystander exposure risk
- HIGH: < 5 mW (Class 3R) — outdoor daylight use, visible to 100+ m; the same power level found in professional law enforcement laser devices
Beam divergence is 0.6 mrad, maintaining a tight, coherent dot at practical engagement distances without visible spread. Green 520 nm is perceived by the human eye 4–6× more intensely than red at equal power — the critical factor for daytime visibility in bright natural or artificial light.
In addition to continuous-on, the LE117-GR offers a Pulsed (strobe) mode — activated by holding the fire button for 3+ seconds. Pulsed operation extends battery life and can create a psychological deterrent effect in law enforcement applications.

Controls and Activation
The rear-facing selector lever offers three positions: OFF / constant ON / REMOTE. The large, ribbed lever switches cleanly with wet hands or gloves. In constant-ON mode, an auto-shutoff activates after 5 minutes to preserve battery life.
The top-mounted fire button enables momentary activation without changing the selector position.
The included Crane-plug cable pressure switch mounts on the fore-end or grip for remote momentary activation without shifting grip. The windage and elevation turrets use recessed 0.5 MOA/click adjustment within ±50 MOA, requiring the included T10L key — protecting zero from unintended shifts.
The QD Picatinny mount allows fast tool-free installation and removal while maintaining consistent return-to-zero across multiple mounting cycles.
Field Applications
Carbines and PDW platforms. The compact, low-profile housing integrates cleanly on standard rails without blocking lights or foregrips. The QD mount enables quick transfer between platforms without re-zeroing.
Hunting at dusk. Green 520 nm retains visibility in low ambient light conditions where red lasers fade into background clutter. LOW-mode output is sufficient for precise aiming in evening conditions without over-illuminating the scene.
IPSC and tactical sport. Instant visual feedback without acquiring the front sight accelerates transitions between targets. Pulsed mode is available as an additional training tool.
Airsoft. Bright green visibility at any ambient light level and direct Picatinny compatibility make the LE117-GR a practical choice for realistic tac-sport configurations.
